Teaching Young People How To Live Healthier, Happier Lives

Our Mission To Advance Nutrition, Fitness Education

For nearly a decade Fitucate Foundation has worked to impact the health and wellbeing of young people and their families in the Omaha and Council Bluffs area.

To date, we have…

– Served more than 2,000 youth through our after school program.

– Partnered with 12 local organizations to prove fitness, nutrition and mindfulness education.

– Provided new coats to more than 4,000 youth in the after school programs and Omaha Public Schools in need.

Fitucate Foundation is committed to reaching more youth through our after school program. While promoting healthy living with movement, nutrition, and mindfulness our goal is to lower the childhood obesity rate locally and nationwide.

Did you know? That 40% of children ages 5 to 17 in the Greater Omaha Metro area children are classified as overweight or obese.

Did you know? That only 52% of children ages 2 to 17 have 60 minutes or more of daily physical activity.

Did you know? That 25% of metro area parents have reported their child has fast food meals 3 or more times weekly.

One third of Omaha and Council Bluffs parents identify the top health issue affecting children in their community as being obesity, nutrition and lack of exercise.

With physical education classes being cut from many school districts, programs have to be implemented to not only reduce obesity, but prevent illness and promote overall wellness.
